This site does not use cookies
adritorres.com does not install cookies on your device: not its own, not from third parties, not for analytics, advertising or social networks. That is why you will not see a cookie banner.
It is a deliberate choice: a fast site that respects your privacy, instead of tracking whoever visits it.
Embedded videos
Some projects include videos hosted on Vimeo and YouTube. They are not loaded when you open the page: you only see a still image stored on this site. The player loads when you press play, and only then does your browser connect to Vimeo (with its "Do Not Track" option enabled) or to YouTube (through its privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com), which may set their own technical cookies. If you do not play a video, nothing is requested from them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to recognise your device, remember preferences or follow what you do across pages and sites. The law (art. 22.2 LSSI-CE) requires informing you and asking for consent before installing any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
How the site avoids them
- The fonts are served from this site, not from an external service.
- There is no analytics tool that uses cookies.
- There are no embedded maps, pixels or social buttons, and videos do not load until you press play: links to Instagram, LinkedIn and IMDb are plain links.
- Password-protected projects use no cookies either: the password is checked in your browser and, if you leave, it is asked again.
Third-party sites
If you follow a link to an external site (Instagram, LinkedIn, IMDb, a studio's or a magazine's site), that site may use its own cookies under its own policy, which I do not control.
Technical storage
Your browser may keep images, style sheets and fonts in its cache so the next visit loads faster. That is a browser mechanism, not cookies, and it does not identify you.
The site also uses the browser's session memory (sessionStorage), only while the tab is open, for two strictly technical things: to show the home page animation just once per visit, and to remember the password you have typed to open a protected project so you do not have to type it again on each page. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing identifies you, and it is deleted when you close the tab. This kind of storage is exempt from consent under article 22.2 of the LSSI.
If this changes
If one day I add a measurement tool, it will be one without cookies and without personal data, and I will update this page. If it were ever necessary to install non-essential cookies, I would ask for your consent first. Questions: info@adritorres.com.
